CARMM Partner, the Australian Antarctic Division Polar Medicine Unit, provides comprehensive medical, surgical and dental support to Australia’s Antarctic Program and related programs.

This wide-ranging clinical support is made possible due to specialist backing from CARMM Partners the Tasmanian Government Department of Health and the Tasmanian Health Service, as well as other Australian specialist networks.

The CARMM collaboration has been successful in achieving quality and safe health outcomes over six decades in remote and extreme environments.

These healthcare outcomes are now being applied to remote Tasmania and Australia, and extreme polar, maritime, undersea and exploratory space environments.
